Startup Week is October 12-16
To commemorate Startup Week Chattanooga, Mindy B’s Deli has created a signature sandwich to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of the city.
“This is an exciting week for Chattanooga, and being in the heart of the Innovation District, we wanted to make a contribution in the spirit of collaboration” owner Mindy Benton said. Benton should know; she’s a graduate of The Company Lab’s CO.STARTERS program.
‘The Entrepreneur’ is a handcrafted sandwich conceived, built and available only in Chattanooga at Mindy B’s Deli in the Volunteer Building at 828 Georgia Avenue during Startup Week starting October 12.
The Entrepreneur Sandwich
Much like entrepreneurs who focus their passion and ingenuity into things they love, Mindy B’s has pulled together unique ingredients to create a one-of-a-kind sandwich.
Comprised of house chicken confit, peppercorn bacon, pickled onion and carrot, and maple mustard sauce grilled on a Bluff View Bakery baguette, this sandwich represents perfected ingenuity. “Collaboration never tasted so good,” Michele Kephart, Director of Marketing at Bluff View Bakery said.
Perfection takes time though. Producing confit is a three day process–think 48Hour Launch with an extra 24 hours–that includes a lengthy marination process. One bite is all it takes though to understand why it’s worth it.
Like many startups, this sandwich was created with a budget in mind. Entrepreneurs of all means are invited to drop by the deli which is open weekdays from 10am to 3pm and share personal experiences.
In case you wondering why chicken and not duck confit? “That’s for when the entrepreneur sells his or her startup for billions,” Benton said.
